Here’s the thing about food blogging, especially when it’s not your job: it often seems like you have the time and energy to either do/cook/eat/drink cool stuff, or write about it, but not both. So that’s why it’s been so quiet around here–it’s turned out to be an even more eventful fall than I had planned.

I’m making a couple of changes to the blog’s timeline that I wanted to post about:

  • I’m moving This Week In The Box to Mondays, since Sunday is the day when I’m most likely to have time to work on it. I’ll have one up this Monday.
  • I’ve decided that the new podcast is going to have to wait for a bit, probably until early next year. I want to do it right, and I don’t think I’ll have the time and energy to do it right until then.

In the next week or two I’m going to catch up with some posts about our recent adventures at the Appalachian Food Summit, Asheville and it’s new brewery neighborhood, and the Bourbon Social in Lexington. I’ve also got new graphics coming soon, courtesy of a graphic designer friend who was mortally offended by my half-assed work.

Meanwhile, I do post pretty regularly at Instagram and Twitter, so follow those for more regular updates.

Thanks for all the love so far for the new venture! There are exciting thing coming, just more slowly than I had hoped.
